Aus Health International worked with the Ministry of Health to assist in the development of capacity to deliver a mental health service.
Aus Health International provided a mental health nurse and psychiatrist to undertake the following:
- Assessment of mental health needs in Nauru
- Assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients
- Development of a mental health policy and clinical treatment guidelines
- Raising public awareness about mental illness and mental health
