AHI undertook an assessment of the Ministry of Health’s state of preparedness to deliver health services in support of the proposed Formula One Grand Prix to be held in Bahrain.

AHI's expert team undertook an assessment of the requirements of the Federation de L'Automobile (FIA) for provision of Trackside Emergency Response Services. The team also reviewed the current status of the following:

  • 2004 Bahrain F1 Grand Prix Medical Plan
  • 2004 Bahrain F1 Grand Prix Emergency Management/Rescue Plan
  • 2004 Bahrain F1 Grand Prix Emergency Services Plan
  • 2004 Bahrain F1 Grand Prix Medical Team Training Program.
  • 2004 Bahrain F1 Grand Prix Critical Incident Management Plan.
  • 2004 Bahrain F1 Grand Prix - FIA Questionnaire.
  • The overall quality and capacity of medical services of Bahrain to meet the medical needs, both on and off the track for the proposed Grand prix.

The team provided a detailed report on the scope of work required to meet FIA's accreditation standards together with a proposed program and costing.
