AusHealth offers tailored programs to meet the specific needs of clients. Packages include presentations, meetings, discussions, and site visits. Some examples of previous Study Tours are listed below.
PR China
- Senior clinicians from Beijing Obstetrics and Gynaecology Hospital; Program focus on hospital administration, obstetrics and gynaecology
- High-level officials from Beijing; Program focus on preventative oral medicine and oral health promotion
- Deputy Director General and senior officials from the Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau; Program focus on rationalisation of healthcare systems, best practice and cutting-edge technology in healthcare management, and specific healthcare management arrangements for the Sydney Olympics
- Vice Minister for Health and senior government officials; Program focus on health sector linkages, health sector reform, and health financing

Kazakhstan
- Government officials from Ministry of Education and Science, Department of Social Expenses Planning, and Department of Healthcare Standards Control; Discussions regarding service delivery, monitoring and evaluation, quality and safety issues and reporting systems within Area Health Services (ST009)
Malaysia
- The Secretary General of the Ministry of Health, accompanied by senior officials, for a study tour with a focus on the structure and organisation of hospitals, privatisation of hospitals, hospital management, and integration of health services
- Officials from Family Health Development Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia, with a focus on primary healthcare, community health service, credentialing and privileging, family health, and emergency medicine (ST003)
Mongolia
- Officials from the Ministry of Health visited NSW Health to gain information on the structure and organisation of health care delivery, general practice, accreditation, human resources, governance and community participation, private sector involvement, and rural health services as part of a Health Sector Development Program Study Tour Program that involved two separate visits.
Philippines
- A delegation from the Department of Health visited NSW Health to learn about the development of health systems, infrastructure, financial management, and information systems.
- Delegation form Provincial Government of Bohol, with an interest in Westmead Hospital, Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital, public hospitals and their relationships with stakeholders, processes to set up hospitals, and hospital administration and operation (ST007)
Russia
- A delegation from the Moscow Emergency Services visited the Ambulance Service of NSW to learn about ambulance education and training, emergency services, counter-disaster, computer-aided dispatch and Olympic planning.
South Africa
- A delegation from the Gauteng Department of Health, including the CEO of Pholosong Hospital, visited NSW Health to gain knowledge on health services planning and the management of HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases, as well as public-private partnerships.
South Korea
- Delegation of professors and researchers from Konyang University School of Medicine; Focus on primary and community healthcare (ST008)
Thailand
- A group of public health lecturers and students from the Faculty of Public Health, Burapha University, and personnel from the Ministry of Public Health, visited NSW Health to learn about the structure of NSW Health, its roles, responsibilities and policies.
- Delegation from Welfare of the Aged Department, with an interest in health system financing, primary care and community care, and aged care services (ST004)
United States of America
- US clinicians visited the Royal Women's Hospital as part of an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Delegation. Topics of study included contraception/family planning, endo-gynaecology, access and payment, cervical cancer screening, midwifery care, and gynaecological oncology.
- Post-graduate and under-graduate students from the Cooperative Centre for Study Abroad and Morehed State University visited NSW Health to study women's healthcare in Australia including a comparative study with the United States, a focus on the rural and under-served areas of Australia, and a visit to Lifeline.
Vietnam
- Officials from the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment on a study tour with a focus on strategic planning in healthcare and medical sciences, investment in and development of technology for the health sector, management of scientific research, and the management of intellectual properties in the health sector
